Kids' Clay Days- Thursdays-Summer 25

Service Description

For kids ages 8 and up!! Four different Thursday afternoons, Four different activity themes!! Clay Days are offered from 2-5pm each afternoon- Sign up for as many as you like!! Join Gin Scott for "hands on" fun at Create Pottery Studio this Summer!! Clay Days Schedule: Thursday, June 26th-FISH hand building projects Thursday, July 10-PETS hand building projects Thursday, July 24-Christmas in July- ornaments and a Santa tray Thursday, July 31- Wheel Throwing Each hand building class will consist of making theme-based projects in clay, a snack time and then painting the projects using underglazes. Pieces will be fired, clear glazed by staff and then fired one last time. Pick up within 2-3 weeks of the class. Kids in the wheel throwing class will make pottery on the wheels, take a snack break and have more time on the wheel. They will choose a glaze color at the end of class. Pieces will be fired, glazed by staff in their chosen color, fired again and ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after class. Kids will be offered a snack during each class, please list any food allergies or preferences on your registration form. Please send your child in comfy play clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Small plastic water bottles will be offered as part of our snack time, and they are welcome to bring their own water bottles if they would prefer. Please review the "Studio Policies" listed on the "Studio Handbook and Studio Policies" tab on the website. This is typically a drop off activity and I will be joined by a studio assistant for each class. If your child needs additional support, please reach out to discuss how the studio can best meet their needs.
