Kids Studio Thursdays

Service Description

In this 6-week class, kids ages 8 and up will learn the hand building techniques of pinch pots, coiling and slab construction to make functional, decorative and imaginary clay pieces!! During the fourth class students will be introduced to wheel thrown pottery and make a few pots on the pottery wheels!! Once completed, pieces will be bisque fired in the kiln and then students will learn how to apply glazes to their pottery. One more kiln firing and pieces will be ready to take home! In addition to instructor led projects, kids will have opportunities to use what they've learned to make their own clay creations during studio time! All materials and firings are included in class fee. Kids are encouraged to wear play clothes to the pottery studio and are welcome to bring water bottles or other drinks with them. Kids' Studio Thursdays meets from 3:30-5:30. Instructor: Gin Scott
