Service Description
Join Cathy Cash on Saturday, January 31st from 10-12:30, as she teaches you how to make the cutest, Wintery gnome from a chunk of clay!! You will learn how to shape the clay to create the gnome form and then add pieces of clay together to make each gnome unique! Your 'Snow" Gnome will be 10-12ish inches tall! Once made, you will paint your gnome using Speedball Underglazes, which are made right here in Statesville! The gnomes will need to dry for a few days in the studio before being bisque fired, given a coat of clear glaze by staff and then one more final glaze firing. Gnomes will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks after class. All materials and firings are included in the class fee. This is a multi-generational class, for makers ages 8-88! Please wear comfy clothes you don't mind getting a little messy and feel free to bring something to drink during the workshop. Courtesy coffee and hot tea is available at the studio. Due to the small workshop size, no refunds will be available for cancellations one week prior to the workshop date.
