This Valentines' Day, bring your someone special and learn how to throw pottery on the wheel from 6-8pm !! In this 2 hour workshop, 4 couples will be guided by Robin McGuirt thru the basic steps of making a pot on the wheel and have fun practicing centering, opening and pulling a wall together. The purpose of this class is to try your hand at pottery and you will choose a favorite piece or 2 to leave at the studio to be glazed and fired by staff. Completed pieces will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks after the workshop. The Valentines Day Couples' Pottery Class fee is $150 per couple, ages 18 to 88!!. Participation is limited to 4 couples. (When you register, you are signing up as a couple. You will register under just one name, but please list both names for the couple attending in the comments.) Instructor: Robin McGuirt Robin is an accomplished potter who lives in Harmony, NC with her husband, 2 dogs, sheep, chickens and bees. She works from her home studio, making primarily wheel thrown pieces. Robin has been making pottery for over 20 years and her favorite pieces to make are wine glasses and custom wedding and communion sets. She has shown her work at the Bascom in Highlands, NC, the Smart Gallery in W Jefferson and at GG's here in Statesville. Robin has taught adult workshops in our area and we've been lucky to have her as an instructor here at CrEaTe for our adult Wheel and Hand Building classes as well as the Kids' Studio Class.
